To keep track of our progress towards more sustainable operations, we regularly monitor important metrics such as carbon emissions, energy use, water consumption, waste, recycling, safety management, and environmental management practices.

Under the One Vertiv, One World plan, we commit to delivering top-tier, energy and water-efficient products and systems. Our innovation focuses on reducing energy consumption, minimizing waste, enhancing efficiency, and promoting sustainability. We closely track metrics such as energy use, water use, efficiency services, life cycle carbon emissions, support for alternative energy, and adherence to a circular economy to continuously monitor and improve our offerings.
The Vertiv™ TimberMod™ exemplifies our commitment to high-performance, eco-friendly solutions, using mass timber instead of steel in prefabricated modular data centers. Mass timber, a renewable construction material, reduces resource depletion and cuts carbon emissions by up to 3 times compared to steel. This reduction is based on the CO2 emissions from the product lifecycle and material transport to the assembly site.
The growing impact of Treedom Vertiv Forest
One of the most visible implementations of the One Vertiv, One World plan is the Treedom Vertiv Forest initiative. It is more than just a collection of trees; it's a living testament to the power of collective action in nurturing the environment.
Every tree planted in the Treedom Vertiv Forest is a story of its own, representing hope, growth, and possibility. What began as a modest effort in Italy has now expanded into a global movement. This initiative unites Vertiv's employees, partners, affiliates, their friends and family, in a shared mission to plant trees and rejuvenate our planet. To date, the Treedom Vertiv Forest continues to grow across thirteen countries and five continents, counting over 5000 trees that will help absorb more than 1400 tons of CO2.

Planting a tree in the Treedom Vertiv Forest is a fun, satisfying, and inspiring way to engage in active environmental conservation. You can choose from various tree types and global impact areas with unique social and ecological benefits. When you "plant" your tree, a global map lets you view its exact planting location, including a Google Earth perspective of the farm where it will be sown. You can even track the progress of your tree over time to see how it's doing.
