Certificate of Compliance

What is the BABA Act?

The Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act was enacted as part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs (IIJA) Act of 2021. It mandates that infrastructure projects funded by the federal government use materials and products made in the United States.

The Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program is a key component of the IIJA aimed at providing high-speed internet access nationwide, particularly in underserved and unserved areas.

The BEAD program’s $42.45 billion in federal funding is dedicated to expanding broadband infrastructure, and BABA compliance is required to utilize these funds, ensuring the use of American-made materials in every project.
