Frequently Asked Questions
- Q
- What is the MTBF of GXT4?
- A
- GXT4 MTBF for all models is >100,000 hours. This value is tested at 25 degC ambient temperature and 100% resistive load. Note that MTBF calculation does not include the battery and fans.
- Q
- Is GXT4 parallelable?
- A
- Yes, but only for the 10 kVA capacity. This will also need a paralleling POD (PN: 02355372) and paralleling cables (PN: 02353764).
- Q
- Can GXT4 UPS use GXT3 batteries? Vice versa?
- A
- Yes, GXT4 UPS is backwards compatible. As for the GXT3 UPS using GXT4 batteries, yes this can be done. Just take note of the part number. For example, GXT3-48VBATT and GXT4-48VBATT. If GXT3 models use GXT3-8VBATT, so GXT3 models can use GXT4-48VBATT, just change “3” to “4”.
- Q
- Can the GXT4 UPS use the rail kit of ITA2?
- A
- Yes, they are one and the same.
- Q
- Can I use GXT4 when I need 60 Hz output, but the input is 50 Hz?
- A
- Yes, GXT4 can be programmed as frequency converter.
