Singapore [June 11, 2018] – Vertiv, formerly Emerson Network Power, today announced that it has installed the SmartRow™ converged infrastructure solution at the newly-opened Solution Centre of Innovix Distribution Pte. Ltd. in Singapore. This latest solution showcases a complete modular data centre in a small footprint, enabling Innovix to better support customer requirements through live demos and visits.
Innovix is a member of the Fortune Global 500-listed Jardine Matheson Group with operations across the Asia-Pacific region. It has been a valued Vertiv partner since 2005 and has, recently relocated to a new, larger headquarters in Singapore. This move provided the opportunity to establish a Innovix Solution Centre to showcase the ICT solutions the company represents.
The need was for a self-contained integrated data centre within their new complex, to let channel partners and customers see and experience their range of solutions in real-world operation.

Vertiv’s SmartRow 2+6 range provides complete modular data centres in a row, a pre-engineered solution that dramatically reduces time to install and deploy. The SmartRow incorporates power protection, thermal management, monitoring and control technologies and cable management, and offers multiple possible configurations for any future expansion.
For Innovix, the benefits of choosing the Vertiv SmartRow included fast deployment, ease of management and lower total cost of ownership. It took the company just two weeks to complete the installation of the Vertiv 2 + 6 SmartRow solution, compared to the four weeks or more that a traditional data centre setup would take.
Within just two months, this ability to showcase the solution has led to Innovix experiencing an increase in requests from their partners to demonstrate the hyper-converged ICT solution to their end users.
Innovix also regularly uses the Solution Centre as a venue for conducting training for their partners, and as a location to present solution demos or proof-of-concept to customers.

It features a cooling unit and a touch screen monitoring system, and houses entirely within the suite IT solutions like ICT storage and a hyper-converged network.”
Typical risks associated with server stacks are well covered by the Vertiv 2 + 6, as it features a built-in fire suppression system, as well as emergency fans that automatically come into service if there is a cooling outage or when supplemental cooling is required. UPS and batteries are also ready to kick in automatically if ever there is a power supply interruption.
