Firmware version 6.1.0 is compatible with Vertiv™ Geist™ Upgradeable Rack PDUs and Rack Transfer Switches equipped with IMD-3 and IMD-5 family IMDs. 

Enhancements
* New web interface style. 
* The web interface Utilities menu is now a top-level menu and no longer resides in the System menu.
* The Guest user (which provides unauthenticated read-only access) can be disabled during first-time web interface login to new or factory-defaulted devices.

Limitations to be Addressed by a Future Firmware Update
* A page titled ‘undefined [menu.blank]’ may be displayed after a successful update from 5.x firmware to 6.1.0 firmware. Select one of the displayed icons to continue.
* Whilst it is possible to prevent use of HTTP by redirecting all HTTP requests to HTTPS, it is not possible to completely disable HTTP unless HTTPS is also disabled.
* The web interface continues to show accounts as locked after the lock period expires. Logging in to the account corrects the erroneous locked indication. 
* Downloading the data log fails with a 1001 error when the Guest user account is disabled.
* Provisioner may not operate correctly when the target device Guest user account is disabled. 
* Some IMD-3x network configuration changes (e.g., DNS configuration) can take 20 seconds or more and may result in a Network Connectivity Has Been Disrupted error message followed by the display of a partially populated web page. However, the requested configuration change is correctly performed, and the user should re-authenticate after refreshing the web page. 
* Alarm-controlled switched rack PDU outlets which form part of a Vertiv Intelligence Director (aggregation) outlet group do not change state when the group outlet state is changed.
* The message ‘[state.lossOfLoadDetected]' is displayed instead of ‘Loss of load detected’ when mousing over the web interface Circuit Loss of Load icon.
* Selecting Reboot I/O Boards logs the user out of the web interface after performing the action.
* Available SSIDs are not listed when configuring a Wi-Fi network connection. However, if the desired SSID is known it can be entered manually. 
* IMD-5M display does not display 3-phase-delta line currents.
* IMD-5M configuration cannot be backed up or restored using USB storage. 
* IMD-5M touchscreen cannot be used to restore default settings, however pressing and holding the IMD-5M reset button for 15s to 20s (until the LED indicator flashes rapidly) will restore default settings.
* IMD-5M touchscreen does not indicate whether a firmware update is in progress. 
* IMD-5M touchscreen operation whilst running the Provisioner feature to update firmware or device configuration may result in the touchscreen temporarily locking up and provisioner not completing the requested operation. To avoid this issue, do not touch the touchscreen whilst provisioner is running a configuration or firmware update.

Notes
* Power readings may not be available for up to 30 seconds after device power on.
* The HTTPS web-server protocol must be enabled and use the default port number for provisioner to operate correctly.
* Provisioner can configure the initial admin user only with target devices running 6.1.0 firmware.
* The RTAFHD3 temperature, airflow, humidity, and dewpoint sensor will display an airflow value of ‘- -‘ whilst calibrating for first 30 seconds after sensor connection or device power on.
* When DHCP is enabled but a DHCP server is not available, a 169.254.0.0/16 network IPv4 link local address will be assigned to the port.
* DHCP address assignments and reservations might change when updating from 5.10.4 or 5.10.8 to 6.1.0 firmware. This is due to a correction to an erroneous DHCP client-id setting present in 5.10.4 and 5.10.8 firmware.
* Vertiv Intelligence Director (aggregation) IMD-3x array controllers must be updated to 6.1.0 firmware to be able to manage IMD-5M array devices.
* If a Vertiv Intelligence Director device web server HTTP protocol setting is changed from Redirected to Enabled, the web browser cache must be refreshed to enable the redirection link on the Devices page to work.
* Enhanced system security requirements have resulted in Vertiv Intelligence Director (Aggregation) support for IMD models 02XV, 02XH, 02EH, and 02EV array devices being withdrawn when using an array controller with 6.1.0 firmware. Attempting to onboard an IMD-02x rack PDU will result in an Unknown Device error. However, existing previously onboarded IMD-02x rack PDU array devices will continue to operate normally. Upgrading these rack PDUs to an IMD-03x or IMD-5M IMD will remove this restriction. 
* Existing Vertiv Intelligence Director (aggregation) array devices using IMD-02x controllers must be updated to 3.4.0 firmware when the array controller has 6.1.0 firmware.
* IMD-5M redundant power will operate correctly only when using two outlet-switched and/or outlet-monitored rack PDUs. Using an inlet-only monitored rack PDU is likely not to operate correctly and the web user interface may mis-report power status.
* IMD-5M redundant power is turned on 9 seconds after device power on, resulting in this feature not operating if power fails within 9 seconds of power on. 
* It is not possible to upload and install an older version of firmware once 6.1.0 firmware is installed.

* Added ability to perform the following invalid password account lockout actions:
  - Configure the number of consecutive failed password attempts before lockout occurs
  - Configure the period over which consecutive failed password attempts trigger lockout

Notes
* It is not possible to concurrently disable HTTP, HTTPS and SSH access and at least one of these protocols will always remain enabled.
* When both HTTP and HTTPS are disabled, it will not be possible to use the Provisioner feature to update the firmware or configuration of the rack PDU (or any downstream Array Devices if the discovered rack PDU is an Array Controller), and the rack PDU will be flagged “System Unreachable”.

* LDAP / Active Directory web interface users do not require the uidNumber attribute to be set, but if it is set it must have a value of 1000 or greater. A uidNumber below 1000 can cause otherwise valid web interface logins to fail.
* It is not possible to upload and install an older firmware once 5.10.3 firmware is installed.

Firmware Version: 5.9.0 (August 30, 2021)
This firmware release is compatible with GU rack PDUs which are currently running firmware versions 5.0 and newer.

Enhancements
* Added Modbus TCP/IP communication protocol support. This release implements the ability to read Modbus data. The ability to write Modbus data will be implemented by a future firmware update.
* Added support for independently configured dual Ethernet network interfaces, allowing a rack PDU to connect to two different networks, one on each network port.
* Added option to show Phase Voltage on the local rack PDU display.
* Added SSH and serial port CLI visibility of Provisioner devices (via the “/provisioner” API path) and read-only access to aggregated Vertiv Intelligence Director devices (via the “/oneview” API path).

* This firmware includes an update to internal rack PDU components. * Configuration provisioning can only be performed with target rPDUs running 5.9.0 or later firmware. Use firmware provisioning to update the rPDU to 5.9.0 firmware before using configuration provisioning.
* When configuring Aggregation, ensure the Managed Device Password meets all array device password complexity rules. Unless changed by the user, these require a minimum password length of 8 characters with rPDUs running 5.9.0 or later firmware.
* It is not possible to download data and event logs when the Guest user has been disabled. This issue will be resolved in a future firmware release.
* Cryptography has been updated to comply with FIPS 140-2 and CSNA requirements. This has resulted in:
  - RSA keys updated to 3072-bit or larger
  - Diffie-Hellman (DH) keys updated to 3072-bit or larger
  - Elliptic curves restricted to NIST P-384 and P-521
  - AES TLS keys updated to 256 bits or larger
* Updated cryptography could result in warning messages and scripts failing to connect due to host keys or certificates changing. 
* HTTPS certificates which do not support the updated ciphers will become invalid after update to 5.9.0 firmware and will need to be regenerated. In this event, the invalid certificate will automatically be replaced by a valid self-signed certificate.
* SSH host keys and certificates may need to be regenerated to meet new minimum requirements. 
* SSH clients may need to be updated to support compatible ciphers. For example, the minimum compatible version of Putty is 0.75.

Firmware 5.3.0 includes a device aggregation feature for managing GU rack PDUs and Vertiv GXT4 UPSs, at cabinet or row levels. When enabled, the device aggregation feature provides a single IP address to view and control up to 50 devices, allows automatic network configuration and supports a web GUI for viewing aggregated sensor readings. 

Also included in this release are improvements for product security, clock and time management, and user experience.
